Nan Si, Emperor Wu's beloved consort, had premature labor during the chaos. To save her life, Cang Hanyu, the Emperor, made a deal with the high priest to travel to new realities and break Nan Si's short-lived curse at the sacrifice of their daughter, Phoenix. In one incarnation, they're the young master of an influential family and his deserted wife; in another life, they become a commoner and a deeply favored princess, who are still a couple.
